Barko Building Company was founded on the principles of conscious design and sustainable building practices. We use only sustainably harvested lumber in our framing and low/no VOC adhesives, paints and finishes for all of our projects. We reuse or repurpose vintage materials whenever it makes sense. This enables us to provide you with a warmth, integrity and character that you wont get from modern engineered materials. We sort and recycle all demo materials no dumpsters on site. And we donate unused materials and fixtures to community organizations for use in building project.
